FIX IT?

OK, now I'm angry. The Repubs were divided and demoralized, just about resigned to the inevitability of Obamacare. Then the Obama admin gave them two massive gifts.

One was screwing up the web site, something they knew was the public face of the program, and essential to getting the enrollment numbers the program needs to work. Well, it didn't work. Oh, we heard, just a few "glitches," we'll get it fixed. Now it looks as if it won't be fixed by their self-imposed deadline.

Then, the public relations catastrophe over Obama's "you can keep your existing policy" promise. First, they said, we didn't break any promise. Then they said, we're sorry we broke our promise. Then they said, OK, we'll change the rules so you really CAN keep your existing policy.

And guess what? That probably won't work either.

Meanwhile, Democrats, who were seriously thinking about recapturing the House a few days ago, are now panicking and in open revolt. They are seeing this program as an albatross around their necks for 2014. And the Republicans are re-energized and determined more than ever that they have a chance to kill this thing

The Democrats have a juggernaut for 2016, someone a lot of party regulars were completely in love with in 2008 -- and now a real chance to elect the first female President. So what do they do?
